Prospero’s Astrolabe is a poetry collection exploring the connections between the history and mythology of astronomy and the human condition. Originally inspired by Neil DeGrasse Tyson’s 2014 television miniseries, "Cosmos", my original aim for this collection was to chronically detail the development of astronomy throughout human history using original poetry. However as I learned more about astronomy’s history and events in my personal life started affecting my work, the collection became a more personal look at gender, death and history using astronomical concepts.en_US
