dc.description.abstractIn this Resolution, the Council of the City of Philadelphia opposes a new federal policy which would provide state and local law enforcement agencies with the legal authority to arrest and detain persons for violations of federal immigration laws and calls on the Mayor of Philadelphia to prohibit immigration enforcement by local agencies.
