dc.description.abstractIn this Resolution, the City Council of the City of Providence requests that the Commissioner of Public Safety, and the Chief of the Providence Police Department, review the Secure Communities initiative. The Council requests the Commissioner inquire with the Department of Homeland Security about what steps local law enforcement agencies may take to opt-out of the program.
