    Abstract
A look at the various theoretical aspects of genocide, peace, reconciliation, sexual violence and gender, as well as theoretical arguments for including women in the peace and reconciliation process and the practical ways in which women are making room for themselves at the peace-table. The focus of the thesis is on women as particular kinds of victims/survivors of genocide and their unique and necessary perspective, using Bosnia and Rwanda as case studies.
