The social enterprise Under the Mango Tree in India provides beekeeping training and supplies to marginalized farmers in the least developed states of India. Beekeeping enables farmers to increase the agricultural productivity of their crops and thus improve their livelihoods. As the Field Office Intern for Under the Mango Tree, Lizzy Peake developed a framework for a Beekeeping Resource Center, an information and knowledge hub to be managed and maintained by the local community in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Her presentation will discuss how she developed this framework by traveling throughout Madhya Pradesh, engaging and conversing with the local communities. Using community voices, she was able to determine what farmers and communities need in a Beekeeping Resource Center.en-USIndiaMany Voices, Multiple Communities, One FrameworkGlobal Development: Community Based Solutionspublic
